Martial arts for teens is a positive and empowering experience. Our program teaches that through hard work in and out of classes, they can succeed; turning daily goals into long-term achievements. Our students’ dedication and commitment combined with positive experience, help them build the confidence for leadership roles in classes and demonstrations. Our instructors also inspire and promote teamwork where students learn how to work together and support one another, creating a sense of responsibility and respect for others. We offer Tae Kwon Do and Jiu Jitsu for teens.
Tae Kwon Do Program Our program offers an opportunity for teenagers to develop physical fitness, discipline, and confidence through the practice of martial arts. Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that emphasizes the use of kicks, punches, and strikes for self-defense and personal development. The name Tae Kwon Do can be translated as "the way of hand and foot", reflecting the combination of hand and foot techniques that are used in this martial art. Our teens classes focus on developing physical fitness, strength, and flexibility through a variety of techniques including kicks, punches, and blocks. We also emphasize forms, sparring and kickboxing which helps our students become well-rounded martial artists. In addition to the physical benefits, our program emphasizes discipline, focus, and self-confidence. Through our training, students will learn to set and achieve goals and overcome challenges both inside and outside the academy. Our instructors are experienced and work closely with each student in order to tailor the training to their individual needs and help them consistently grow.
Jiu Jitsu Program Jiu Jitsu is a grappling martial art that emphasizes the use of leverage and technique to overcome larger and stronger opponents, making it an ideal martial art for self-defense. One of the key aspects of Jiu Jitsu is its emphasis on positional dominance. Students learn to control and manipulate opponents' bodies in a variety of positions, including the mount, side control, and back control. By achieving and maintaining dominant positions, students can better execute submissions (joint locks, chokes, and other submission techniques) and maintain control of the fight. In addition to physical training, our program also emphasizes the development of important life skills such as discipline, respect, and teamwork. We believe that these skills are essential for success both in Jiu Jitsu and in life. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience with martial arts, our program is suitable for all levels.
